De-Cluttering 2018

Monday, 10 October 2011

I managed to stick to the £10 food budget for last week, the grand total spent was £9.49, which I’m very pleased about. I did manage to get some things from the reduced section which was great, hopefully will time it right again this week and get some more bits.

I have been through all the cupboards and freezer and have done an audit on everything we have in there. We have a lot more fish than I thought so this will be on the menu for this week. Again the only thing I should need to buy is milk and salad bits.

MONDAY
Roast chicken/pork, roast potatoes and vegetables
TUESDAY
Salmon & couscous
WEDNESDAY
Gammon/burger, pineapple, potato wedges, peas & sweetcorn
THURSDAY
Tuna steaks, jacket potato & salad
FRIDAY
Paprika chicken, savoury rice and salad
SATURDAY
Sausage casserole & bread rolls
SUNDAY
Shepherds pie & veg

Sounds like you are doing really well Rainbowchild.
£10 is excellent for a week. I love the reduced section as it saves loads of money and you never know what you'll find.

Sounds like you are running down the freezer like us.

Are you posting on frugaldom? I'd like to read your posts.

Good luck for this week.

Looking good, I'll be round on Tuesday, ha ha. Seriously though, that's the way to do it. Check your food stocks constantly, never push stuff to the back of a cupboard and forget about it. I can do a weekly shop for £10 to £12 (1 veggie person) it is achievable. Keep at it, the saved pennies will soon mount up into pounds.
