SFT - Thanks for the much needed hugs :) You do fantastic to manage a budget of £60 each month, it would be great if we could but it would be such a struggle but I’m defiantly going to be more planned with the shopping. Does your budget include cleaning products/toiletries? We haven’t decided where to go yet, but will keep you posted xx

Christine – Thank you for your encouragement.

Saving £’s – It was so nice seeing the smile on mums face, I guess you are never to old (they are both in their 80’s) to be told off by your big sister!

Mum – Thank you for your support xx

RC-Hope today went ok. Did you pop in to see your mum?

Menu planning is such a good idea-it saves time and money. You are doing brilliantly! Such an inspiration to me. Our budget includes just food and household. Although I haven't needed any toiletries for ages, I will need to buy some shampoo this week, I've been really good and nearly used up all my shampoo...even the little sample bottles. So I'm treating myself to Treseme..for a budget shop of course!

If you need any help deciding where to go on holiday, I know someone who could help! LOL!

Think your doing fantastic on your budget, am really impressed, especially as i've just spent £30 on food!

Also, wanted to comment on yesterday's post, am really sorry to hear bout your mum but am glad that she got to chat to her sister and its made her happier. I know it must be tough, but think you are doing such a great job being there for her and making the most of the time you guys have got.

Take care of yourself.xx

Hi there, I also menu plan and it's been a massive help to me, not even so much for the keeping costs low aspect but for the organisation side of things. I much prefer having a list of meals to choose from and getting what I need out of the freezer the night before. It's a new feeling for me, being in control!!!
